ANIDASO HEALTH
2012
Anidaso Health is a nonprofit group dedicated to helping with medical missions and supplies to the under served. We have completed our 5th mission in 6 years to Ghana this spring. Anidaso means hope in Twii , the main Ghanaian language. We went to Kwahu Government Hospital in Atibie, in the falls of 2010 and 2008 and the springs of 2006 and 2007. We also visited several outlying communities and clinics.
2012 brought a group of six dedicated volunteers from Indiana and Illinois, including a nursing student , two nurses, an anesthesiologist, and two internists, who volunteered their skills, time, and money during our fifth year for a successful mission. We also treated a variety of illnesses, did diabetic screening, and blood pressure screening at Kwahu hospital and in 6 villages including Pitiku, a small town near Lake Volta, three in the Kwahu region with Salormey Volunteers and three near Kasoa by the coast with Cheerful Hearts,
We brought medicine and medical supplies, dispensing them freely to patients throughout our stay.
Our work in Ghana is facilitated by Salormey Volunteers Group. Fred and Rebeca were outstanding as always.
We are also partnering with Cheerful Hearts and the Safewater Trust.
We also shipped a container of medical supplies in 2011 to Kasoa Health Center.
